DIY Toothpaste MCT Version
There are literally hundreds of different toothpastes out there, most of which contain questionable ingredients. I am letting you know that the easiest way to avoid all of the dubious ingredients in toothpaste is to just say no. That is correct-toothpaste is completely optional. That said, I do prefer to use it. My favorite DIY version that I personally make and use requires no measuring! Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
(Widely Available Online)
one glass jar
MCT Oil
Xylitol
A Blender or food processor
Peppermint Oil
Calcium Carbonate
ANY Suitable container with a cover, preferably glass
Step 1
Measure out a small amount of Xylitol (half of your container should be more than enough)
Step 2
Pour your xylitol into a blender
Step 3
Blend the xylitol into powder so it looks like confectioner’s sugar
Step 4
Pour the MCT oil into your container so it takes up about half of the container
Step 5
Place a few drops of peppermint oil into the container with the MCT oil until it tastes minty enough for you
Step 6
Slowly mix in the powdered xylito until it is sweet enough for you
(warning: it will be very runny)
Step 7
Slowly add the calcium carbonate until you have a paste
